The Andaman and Nicobar Environmental Team

Since 1990, the Andaman and Nicobar Environmental Team (ANET) has been the beacon of conservation in this biodiversity hotspot. Ever since pioneering sea turtle surveys in the 1970s, ANET has been on the frontlines of the battle to save these islands from numerous artificial pressures. The humble and arduous beginning has been a milestone for strife and determination toward the development of the habitat.

Even though ANET has carved out a niche place for itself by its path-breaking work, today it faces difficultly in its work and progress. The Project aims towards contributing and rebuilding the processes that ANET preserves and your time and skills here would be put into use for the potential force that the Andaman and Nicobar Archipelago withholds. Amongst the other experiences, you will benefit from the exposure to the rainforests, mangroves, pristine beaches and Coral Reefs; which are only minutes away from ANET. You will have a thorough understanding of the incredible terrestrial and marine life and be a part of the movement that aims at protecting and conserving the ecosystem.

The activities include:
Base maintenance, infrastructure building and design
Creating educational material
Assisting researchers in their field works
Accompanying visitors and groups in their field trips
Photographic inventories of flora and fauna
Canopy access studies
